Antitrust allows Kolomensky to buy Russian unit of Fazer
MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service has allowed bakery and confectionery holding Kolomensky to acquire 100% in Khlebny Dom, the Russian subsidiary of Finnish food giant Fazer, the service said in a statement on Thursday.
The deal will not hurt competition on the Russian bakery market, the service said.
Fazer decided to suspend exports to Russia and investment in the country in early March due to the situation in Ukraine, and later it decided to suspend operations in the country entirely and to change the legal name of the local unit from LLC Fazer into LLC Khlebny Dom.
